Unleashing the power of plants
Last week Anthony and I headed to Nutrition and Health Live, the UK’s largest event for nutritionists, dieticians and nutrition influences. We were there on behalf of our client, Truvia®, a calorie-free sweetener that comes from the stevia plant.
Armed with 20 stevia plants and a wheelbarrow full of strawberries (for sampling), we spent the two days speaking with a range of HCPs – from practicing dieticians to brand nutritionists to recent graduates. As a relatively new product on the market, we were there to raise awareness around stevia-based sweeteners and encourage nutrition influencers to recommend Truvia® to their clients/patients.
We had some great feedback on the product – but the real stars of the show were the plants. Having the plants there really reinforced the natural message and brought the product to life as the delegates tasted the leaves. Furthermore, it helped us to stand out from the crowd – in an exhibition hall full of healthy brands, we wanted something that would generate buzz. As the delegates tried the leaves they were amazed at how sweet they tasted.
By the end of the day the word had spread and we delegates seeking out our stand to try the leaves and Truvia® for themselves. Now that’s the power of plants.
