Institute for Scientific Information on Coffee (ISIC)
Sponsored symposium and conference booth at The European Nutrition Conference (FENS) 2019
On behalf of the Institute for Scientific Information on Coffee (ISIC), we coordinated a series of awareness activities on the association between coffee consumption and metabolic syndrome, during and in follow up to The European Nutrition Conference (FENS) 2019, which took place in Dublin, Ireland.
A sponsored symposium was held, with presentations delivered by leading experts in metabolism and health, which was attended by 60 nutrition and health professionals from across Europe. A conference booth was constructed and held for three days, providing delegates with access to information and expert advice on the latest research on coffee consumption and its effect on various aspects of health, and resulting in an increase in subscribers to ISIC’s Coffee and Health website.
Following the event, we coordinated development of an expert-led symposium report, supported by two leading experts in the field. Through targeted media outreach, 280 items of coverage were secured from over 20 countries, in titles including The Times, The Daily Mail and The Sun, in the UK.
