Building valuable brand and product awareness for Helium

In June 2020, we helped San Francisco start-up Helium, creators of the world’s first peer-to-peer wireless network, announce its official launch across Europe – whilst also assisting the company in building valuable brand and product awareness in key markets.

The company, which was co-founded by Napster’s Shawn Fanning, are the creators of The People’s Network. Charged by Helium Hotspots, this network is specifically designed to support Internet of Things (IoT) technology in the world around us. In return, Helium Hotspot owners are rewarded for becoming a network operator with a unique cryptocurrency.

We created a dedicated campaign which introduced key media and influencers to Helium’s technology ahead of its official launch – followed by a targeted reviews programme across technology, consumer electronics and cryptocurrency media. This resulted in an international exclusive with the Financial Times marking the company’s arrival, as well as media exposure that helped to connect Helium with new industry contacts across Europe.

Additional results included earned unboxings and features with key European influencers, as well as hands-on reviews across technology, consumer electronics, and targeted industry media.
