Kaizo launches JooJoo Internet Tablet in the UK

Fusion Garage, designer and developer of the category-creating joojoo Internet tablet, today announced product availability in the UK. Gadget lovers can now experience all the Internet has to offer on the world’s largest capacitive touch screen device.

joojoo, unveiled in December 2009 and launched last month in the UnitedStates, is designed for anyone who “lives” on the Web and enjoys having near-instant access to the Internet wherever a Wi-Fi connection is available. joojoo features a nine-second boot up time, easy-to-use user interface, innovative browser-based operating system, 12.1-inch screen, Flash support and USB connections.

The device allows users to experience applications, news, music, full-screen high-definition video, social media and Web services, simply, quickly and seamlessly.

Fusion Garage has also updated joojoo’s software to ensure a seamless user experience. Users are provided with regular software updates over the air enabling new features and functionality.

“The Internet is consumed via many devices—none of which are specifically designed for the experience,” said Fusion Garage founder and CEO, Chandrasekar (Chandra) Rathakrishnan. “joojoo is the first device completely dedicated to the Internet. It puts the magic of the Web at your fingertips whether you are on the sofa or on the go. joojoo was built from the ground up with the aim of providing the ultimate browsing experience. Our name literally means magic and our product delivers it.”

Its ultra-portable, ultra-thin design offers the best Internet experience anywhere – in the home or on the move, standing or sitting. joojoo’s gesture-based user interface allows easy transitions between websites and turns pages into a digital publication via the movement of a finger. A full-size touch keyboard appears when users need it, and disappears when viewing content or paging through digital media.

joojoo can now be ordered for delivery to the UK through the Fusion Garage online store: https://thejoojoo.com/store at a cost of £319 plus tax and shipping. The joojoo Stand is available for £20 plus tax and shipping.

In West Africa, the word “juju” refers to an object with magical powers.
