Patient Advocacy Programmes

We support major pharmaceutical companies to put the patient at the heart of their work, and reflect the needs of these communities in their communication strategies. Our work connects clients with communities in HIV, oncology and rare diseases.

In response to the impact of the pandemic on the patient community, we developed a webinar series bringing together industry experts and pan-European patient advocacy organizations to explore how PAGs and the pharma industry can support each other to navigate the ‘new normal’.

Following the success of this initiative, we helped to extend this to a global virtual Community Exchange meeting, which brought together 108 attendees from 24 countries. We developed an interactive agenda with plenary talks, breakout and discussion sessions, securing speakers from a range of patient organisations. 90% of respondents said the meeting met their expectations and 90% said they would join a future meeting of this kind.

Beyond events and advisory boards, our experience includes amplifying patient voices to help highlight their shared challenges and experiences. For example, through the development of key messaging, media partnerships, and educational assets to support their advocacy work with healthcare professionals and decision makers. Our additional capacity-building work with patient groups also equips them to keep confidently approaching these interactions in the future, representing the patients and families they work with as effectively as possible.
