Read moreOur work with Elsevier, one of the world’s largest scientific publishers, brings academic research to a broad consumer audience, demonstrating that science can be fun as well as serious – and above all, accessible.
We scour nearly 3,000 Elsevier journals for research that will interest and entertain the general public – from the health effects of air pollution to the science behind giving the perfect hug. Through our media outreach, journalists around the world report on Elsevier-published research, across broadcast outlets such as Fox, Sky News, CNN; and in publications including BBC online, The Guardian, The Times, The Daily Telegraph, New York Post and Daily Mail, to name a few. In 2021 alone, our media outreach generated over 21.4bn total reach for all coverage.
We also support the OWSD-Elsevier Foundation Awards, highlighting the important work of incredible women scientists from across the globe.
