Institute for Scientific Information on Coffee

Supporting roundtable at the Royal Society of Medicine

On behalf of the Institute for Scientific Information on Coffee (ISIC), we organised an expert roundtable at the Royal Society of Medicine in London to discuss the most recent research into coffee and liver health, and the potential mechanisms behind a suggested reduced risk of liver disease.

Roundtable delegates included academics, media medics and representatives from national liver associations across Europe. The roundtable’s aim was to promote a discussion around the latest research findings and identify the challenges faced by healthcare professionals when advising patients on diet and liver health.

From identifying and securing the delegates and speakers, to writing and distributing the post-roundtable report, we managed all aspects of the project. The result was widespread media coverage of coffee’s potential role in reducing liver disease risk across multiple European markets, including front page coverage in the Daily Express and references on BBC and Sky News.
